They say curiosity killed the cat, but maybe she just found a new cove in West Cork to swim in?
Thought I don’t get to do it often, finding a new path to explore or a spot to dip in are things I love to try; exploring what’s on our doorstep is just as exciting as the other side of the world! No reason we can’t do both.
Nearly mid-40s I have a pretty good idea of what makes a good life - good company, fresh air, a warm Malbec and lots of laughter.
I like to be active (walk in the park active, not climb a mountain active); I have a job I really enjoy (it’s my second career) and 2 children who are hilarious and great fun when they’re not looking for more snacks.
Visiting new places is something I really enjoy: from Haiti to Iraq to the Congo and even Roscommon, experiencing new places and cultures is hugely enriching and makes me a better person. I’m not talented at languages but I try - pretty good French and a smattering of a few others.
I’m also a total geek - I love quizzes, general knowledge, weird facts. I find curiosity and knowledge hugely attractive, and going down Wikipedia rabbit holes is a regular obstacle to sleep. I might also have a penchant for murder mystery documentaries but that’s a discussion for another day…
